These 14k yellow gold hoops are cast in my studio from an original granulated master for a limited edition series of hoops. I use fine silver for the original granulation, then make a mold, pull a wax copy from the mold, and then cast using the lost wax process with a vacuum. Granulation is a fascinating and labor-intensive ancient fusing process that can only be done with certain alloys that are prone to fusing. 14k is not one of those metals. Casting allows me to make this design in hard-to-fuse metals.
These 14k hoops have 14k French Hooks for comfort and a terrific dangle action!
These are the largest in my series of four Etruscan Hoop sizes - 30mm.
