These seaweed dagger post earrings are long, elegant points of silver filled with a granulation pattern I call Seaweed, as it looks like it has so much movement in the varying-sized granules. These are cast versions of my original granulation work, which is then molded for repeat waxes and cast using the ancient Lost Wax Process.
Granulation is an ancient fusing process for fine metals. Casting allows me to make this design in Sterling Silver. These Seaweed Dagger posts have a dark patina in the recesses and the tops are polished for contrast.
They have a nice weight and look great on!
