This is a one-of-a-kind 18k ring handmade using the ancient process of granulation. The twining band is 2mm wide and has a continuous pattern around made with an ancient and unique process of granulation in 18k gold alloyed in my studio.
Granulation is a controlled fusing process that has been utilized for thousands of years. This unique surface will get more interesting with wear. The components, sheet, wire and granules as well as the round ingot for the setting are all made in my studio all from an 18k gold ingot alloyed from recycled, refined 24k gold. The granules are individually placed with a triple zero brush and fused with a mouth torch.
This 18k gold is made to order for you and can 2 to 8 weeks for me to complete for you depending on how busy I am. I am happy to send you a ring sizing kit if you don’t yet know your size.
