These delicate Wisteria Gem Shimmer Top post earrings are cast in sterling silver from a Fine Silver granulated original. They have a sterling silver post and nut and can be set with amethyst faceted gem, garnet faceted gems, or blue topaz faceted gems. These Wisteria posts are very lightweight and can be worn all the time. Classy, unique and understated. I have also listed the same earring but inverted as the Wisteria Gem Top Post, I can't decide which way I like best!
Granulation is an ancient fusing process utilized by the Etruscans and Mycenaeans for thousands of years. I melt Fine Silver to create tiny granules, wires, and sheet. I place these granules with a 000 paint brush and then carefully heat them using a mouth torch to the point of fusing.
